As a Board-Certified Optometrist, Dr. Smith provides the most up-to-date eye care for you and your entire family. Dr. Smith was hand-selected by Dr. Scott Bailey, the original owner of the practice, to continue caring for his patients just as he did, in a relaxed and professional setting. Dr. Smith is originally from Indiana, but recently got married in fall of 2021 to her husband Stephen. Recently purchased a home and now resides in the Smoketree neighborhood in North Chesterfield with her husband and their dog, Rue. Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Purdue University and went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. Before moving to Virginia, Dr. Smith gained years of experience in private practice in Louisville, Kentucky. She is an avid traveler, enjoys gardening and exercise as well as exploring all the restaurants and wineries Richmond and Virginia have to offer.  

 Dr. Smith offers the highest standards of quality and individualized eye care. She specializes in routine eye exams for children and adults, contact lens wearers, new and experienced, as well as patients with eye discomfort, infections, and more sight-threatening diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and even patients taking high-risk medication. She offers consultations and co-management for cataract and LASIK eye surgery. Dr. Smith loves to take the time to get to know her patients and educate them on eye health and any ocular issues that may arise.
